Praying for Former Pastor Gregory Wayne Jones
Why We're Praying for Gregory Wayne Jones
Gregory Wayne Jones, formerly of Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Mountain Home, Idaho—also serving at the affiliated NXT Dream Center daycare—has been charged with human sex trafficking and forcible penetration, accused of exploiting spiritual counseling to harm victims. A judge recently denied a plea agreement, and his next hearing is scheduled for September 15.
“Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves… defend the rights of the poor and needy.” — Proverbs 31:8–9
Background & Ministry Context
Jones served as pastor at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church and as director of operations for a connected preschool and after-school program, the NXT Dream Center—a nonprofit serving families and children in Mountain Home.
“Whoever brings ruin on their family will inherit only wind, and the fool will be servant to the wise.” — Proverbs 11:29
Recent Developments Requiring Prayer
• In April 2025, he was arrested on charges of human sex trafficking and aggravated sexual assault. His bail was set at $5 million. • A plea deal was reached but has since been rejected by a judge—citing the gravity of allegations. The next hearing is scheduled for September 15.

Our Gracious Heavenly Father, You see and know all—both the pain of victims and the brokenness in lives gone astray.
We lift up the survivors in Your loving care. Bring healing to trauma, peace to shattered hearts, and surround them with wise and compassionate support.
We pray for justice to be served—in the courts and beyond—with Your integrity at the forefront and Truth revealed.
For the communities affected, bring unity, sensitivity, and spiritual strength as they navigate this crisis in faith.
Lord, for Gregory Wayne Jones—even if culpable, You are still merciful. Confront his heart, grant him deep repentance, and by Your Spirit, let him turn to Christ, finding redemption and true transformation.
Use this painful story for Your redemptive purposes—awakening humility, drawing many to Christ, and reminding us that no one is beyond Your grace. (Romans 5:20)
In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
