Prayer for Amir Edwards
Background: Amir Edwards, aged 21, was involved in a high-speed police chase on January 8, 2025, in Conway, South Carolina. The pursuit ended when his vehicle crashed into Kingston Presbyterian Church. Edwards was arrested and charged with multiple offenses, including driving under suspension, possession of a stolen firearm, and failure to stop for blue lights. He was found in possession of a Glock-style switch, converting the firearm to fully automatic, and a small amount of marijuana.
Current Situation: Edwards was released on bond following the incident. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the crash, and Edwards faces legal proceedings for the charges against him. Additionally, he has filed a lawsuit against the Horry County Police Department, alleging violations of his rights during the pursuit.
Prayer Focus: We lift Amir Edwards in prayer, asking for God's guidance, strength, and protection. We also pray for his salvation and that of all involved in this case, that they may come to know Christ.
