Why We Must Pray

In times like these, we are reminded of the importance of prayer. The Bible encourages us to pray for all people, including those in authority and those who are suffering (1 Timothy 2:1–4). Prayer can bring comfort, healing, and guidance.

Moreover, prayer is a powerful tool for seeking justice and righteousness. As we pray, we are reminded of God's sovereignty and His desire for justice and mercy (Micah 6:8).

Prayer Points

• For the victims: that they may find healing, comfort, and justice.
• For Pastor Dorcius: that he may come to a true understanding of his actions and their impact, and that he may seek repentance and redemption.
• For the community: that they may find strength, unity, and a path forward in the face of this challenge.
• For the legal system: that justice may be served fairly and impartially.

Scripture Reflection

In Psalms 119:136, the psalmist writes, 'Streams of tears flow from my eyes, for your law is not obeyed.' This verse reflects the psalmist's deep sorrow over the disobedience of God's law. Similarly, we mourn the violation of trust and the harm caused by the actions of Pastor Dorcius.

Yet, even in the midst of such challenges, we find hope in the Word of God. In Romans 8:28, we are reminded that 'in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.' This promise gives us the strength to pray and to trust in God's sovereignty.

Prayer for Salvation in Christ

Finally, we pray for the salvation of all involved. May Pastor Dorcius, the victims, and the entire community come to know the love and redemption of Jesus Christ. May they find forgiveness, healing, and a new path forward in Him.

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you with heavy hearts, seeking your guidance, comfort, and justice. We pray for all those affected by the actions of Pastor Dorcius, that they may find solace in your love and mercy. May your will be done, and may your kingdom come. Amen.
