What powers do good angels have?

As members of God's celestial host, good angels perform a variety of duties at the good God's direction. Believing in angels gives us consolation and hope by serving as a reminder of God's watchfulness and presence.

The fundamental message of angelic guidance and divine intervention is still relevant today because of the divine announcements and warnings they sent, such as Gabriel notifying Mary of Jesus' birth, the protection they provided for people and places (such as angels shielding Daniel in the lion's den), and the guidance and support they provided (such as the angel guiding Philip to meet the Ethiopian eunuch). Let's take a closer look at what the Bible says.

They were to become ministering spirits, sent forth by Heaven to minister to those who should be heirs of salvation.
